Margaret Lea (Sherwood) Yates the daughter of Ernest (Howard) and Vera Alta (Corbin) Sherwood was born October 5, 1941 near Trenton, Mo. and departed this life on Saturday,

June 15, 2019 at a North Kansas City, Mo. hospital at the age of 77 years, 8 months, and 10 days.

On August 20, 1960, she married Robert Ray Findley. To this union two two sons were born, Steven Ray and Michael Darin. Robert preceded her in death on August 1, 1968.

On June 12, 1969 she married Dwayne ā€œPoodā€ Yates. To this union two children were born Angelia Dawn and Heath Dwayne who joined brother, Allen Dwayne. Pood preceded her in death on March 23, 2014.

She began working at Old American in the office and spent several years as a farmwife.  She also worked at Rival Manufacturing in Albany, Mo., Placeā€™s, Pamida, Gumdrop Books, and Walmart in Bethany, Mo. She is the current owner and operator of the Long Creek Bar and Grill in Bethany, Mo. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and those that would come in to visit.

Margaret always had to have her hair and nails done and loved spending the day with her shopping partners, Angie and Madison. She loved going to the boat and having a good Margarita. She also attended as many of the kidsā€™ activities she could.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, step-son, Allen Yates, and her sister Marjorie Parks.

Survivors include sons, Steven Findley and wife, Annette, Naples, Fla. and Michael Findley, New York, N.Y.; daughter, Angie Nible and husband, Brent, and son, Heath Yates, both of Bethany, Mo.; sister, Elizabeth Namatka, Florida; six grandchildren, Stacy and Amber Findley, Michael Rucker, Madison and Morgan Nible, and Dakotah Yates, and wife, Megan; one great grandson, Myles Rowan and one great granddaughter on the way; and special friends, Bonnie Magee who was like a sister to her and Marvin Casady.

Funeral services were June 18, at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, Mo.  Burial in the Foster Cemetery, New Hampton, Mo. Memorials may be made to the Foster Cemetery in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, Mo.  Online condolences may be left at www.robersonfuneralhome.com.
