Fran was an amazing woman that touched the hearts of many. She was very close to her family and kept in touch with many friends over the years. She cherished the time she got to spend with her family and was quite grateful that she got to retire shortly after her first grandchild was born. She was proud to be a Jayhawk, her grandson Greg now attends KU as well and she loved being able to share her experiences with him.  She was so proud that her granddaughter Natalie is following her footsteps and working towards becoming a nurse. Eleven years ago she moved to Colorado to be closer to family. Her oldest grandson Zack often loved chatting with her over sushi lunch. She loved being involved in their many activities and was eager to hear about all of their accomplishments. She was a talented quilter and crafter, worked with many different sewing groups and loved being able to share her work with others. She was known for her generosity, her love of flowers and gardening, she loved reading the morning paper and feeding the birds and squirrels in her back yard. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
