Ben Guenther had just graduated from high school in Boone, Iowa, when he was invited by three of his classmates to make “a Coors beer run to Kansas,” as he put it.
Ben had a job at a local filling station and could not join his friends for the trip to Kansas to get elusive Coors beer which wasn’t sold at the time in either Iowa or Missouri.
