The South Harrison band continues to wrack up awards at district music festivals. Pictured, above, are band members who qualified for the state music festival. Right, South Harrison senior band members Madi Lisle, Austin Eads, Julie Barclay and Jerika Price hold certificates that the band won at the MSHSAA State Festival last Tuesday night at Platte City High School. The school’s symphonic band, brass choir, sax choir and percussion orchestra all received the top rating of “Exemplary”, formerly a I rating, at the festival. South Harrison was the only band to receive the Exemplary rating on all ensembles.
