Bethany, MO: Pattonsburg advanced to the state 8-man football semifinals Friday night when the Panthers crushed Southwest Livingston 82-28 in Pattonsburg.
Steven Willhite connected on 9 touchdown passes as the Panthers had little trouble advancing to play Worth County at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Grant City. The winner of that game will play in the state championship game at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, at Faurot Field in Columbia. The opponent will be either Mound City or Orrick from the other semifinal bracket.
