Steven Dale May, 57, Jamesport, MO (formerly of Humphreys, MO) passed away June 19, 2015 at the Daviess County Nursing Home, Gallatin, MO.
He was born April 15, 1958 in Milan, Missouri the son of J. C. and Nancy (Linhart) May.
Steve grew up in Humphreys, MO and graduated from Grundy R-5 in 1976.
On January 23, 1983, he married Kathy Shuler in Jamesport, MO. She survives of the home.
He worked as an equipment operator for Shuler Concrete of Jamesport, MO, Suhor Industries and Eivins Excavating. He was a member of the Jamesport Jr. Livestock Show Board, Jackson Township Board and Jamesport Volunteer Fire Department. Steve was a 4-H Woodworking Leader and FFA Volunteer. He attended the United Methodist Church in Jamesport.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Melvin and Dorothy Shuler; grandparents, Charles and Edna (Glidewell) May and Elba and Fay (Straley) Linhart.
Survivors in addition to his wife of 32 years, Kathy, are daughters, Natalie May (Michael Heckenbach) Jameson, MO, Nicole (Joey) Chadwick, Trenton, MO and Nina (J.R.) Chadwick, Jameson, MO; grandchildren, Mikah, Mason, Avery, Parker, Justin, Jorgia and Nora; sisters, DeAnn (Steve) McClaskey, Trenton, MO and Deidra (Jeff) Johnson, Milan, MO; brother, Montie May, Trenton, MO; sisters-in-law, Debra Shuler, Chillicothe, Mo and Teresa Shuler, Humeston, IA and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 22, at United Methodist Church, Jamesport, MO, under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Jamesport, MO. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery, Jamesport, MO. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the church.
