GILMAN CITY, MO: Rebecca Cottrell, 97, (Gilman City, MO) passed away April 22, 2019 at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, MO.
Rebecca was born November 24, 1921 in Harrison County, MO, the daughter of Isreal and Zula (Stanley) Chaney.
Rebecca was married to Dale Cottrell. He passed away December 12, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Chaney; and a step-great-granddaughter, Brittney Zerbe.
She was a farmer and a farmer’s wife and a member of the First Baptist Church, Gilman City, MO.
Survivors include her sons and their spouses, William R. and Martha Cottrell and John D. and Bonnie Cottrell, all of Gilman City, MO; 7 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 25, at the First Baptist Church, Gilman City, MO with Brother Ron Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery, Gilman City, MO. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 Thursday at the church.
