Frosty MeadowsForrest “Frosty” Flint Meadows, 89, Bethany, MO, passed away June 4, 2016.

Forrest was born May 17, 1927, in Pattonsburg, MO, the son of Oscar and Maud Burgess Meadows. He graduated from Pattonsburg High School in 1945. Forrest joined the U.S. Navy in 1945, was discharged in 1946, and enlisted in the U.S. Naval Reserves, serving from 1947 to 1955. He attended Northwest Missouri State Teachers College and the University of Missouri, Columbia.

On December 16, 1950, he was united in marriage to Billie Dunn. They shared 65 years of marriage. To this union two sons were born, Maury Dunn and Charles W.

Forrest was a licensed pilot and member of the International Flying Farmers. He was a member of the Harrison County Genealogical Society, VFW Post 2176, and American Legion Post 216 all of Bethany.

Forrest was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, parents, brother, Oscar P Jr., brother-in-law, Hubie Bernatz, sister-in-law, LaJune Chandler.

Survivors are sons Maury (Barb) Meadows, Chuck Meadows (Laura Galucci), sisters Mary Elizabeth Bernatz and Barbara Joy (George) Gleghorn, grandchildren Buffy (Matt) Smith and Clint (Lindsey) Meadows, great grandchildren Kate and Ben Smith and Maddie and Reed Meadows, sister-in-law Mary Virginia (Johnny) Taylor, several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service Monday, June 13, 7 p.m. at the Bible Baptist Church, Bethany. Visitation one hour prior to service. Cremation and memorial services under the direction of Bethany Memorial Chapel.  Tributes may be left at www.bethanymemorialchapel.com.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Harrison County Genealogical Society or Bethel Cemetery in care of Bethany Memorial Chapel, 1000 North 25th Street, Bethany, MO 64424.
