Carrol Barker without textCarrol (Ruff) Barker, 79, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Bethany Care Center in Bethany, Mo.

She was born December 22, 1936 near Eagleville, Mo. to Lester Ruff & Lois (Gibson) Ruff.

She was a 1954 graduate of North Harrison High School, and was a member of the Eagleville Christian Church.

She worked in the Barker Hardware Store in Bethany, Mo. when married to Willie Barker. She worked as a health care worker & stayed with the elderly so they could remain in their homes, in Des Moines, Ia. & Eagleville. She worked in several restaurants as hostess & cashier in Des Moines, St. Joseph, Mo. & Branson, Mo. She also opened & ran a used clothing store (The Second Hand Rose) In Eagleville & then in Bethany, Mo. She ultimately moved to Branson, Mo. where she enjoyed all the Music Shows there & met many Country Music Stars & other celebrities.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tony Barker; baby brother, Roger Charles Ruff; brother, Junior (Les) Ruff; Sister Twila (Ruff) Kinnison; niece Bettie (Ruff) Valenti; 2 nephews Tom Hutton & Terry Ruff.

She is survived by sister, Lila (Ruff) Hutton; 3 grandsons, Aaron, Josh & Ryan Barker; 3 great grandchildren; sister-in-law June Ruff; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives & friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 8 at Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, Mo. Burial will follow in Hobbs Cemetery, Eagleville, MO. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
