Elizabeth Dean Carter, 95, Bethany, MO passed away May 9, 2015 at Crestview Home, Bethany, MO.
She was born May 18, 1919 in Harrison County, Missouri the daughter of Matthew and Stella (Whiteley) Sheughnessy.
On July 30, 1938 she married Raymond Carter. He preceded her in death on February 24, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents; children, Donald Lee Carter, Colleen Burch and Marlene Carter; brothers, Newt and H. Blaine Sheughnessy and sisters, Jean Ward and Eva Daniel.
She was a member of the White Oak Church.
Survivors include her son, David (Susie) Carter, Runnells, IA; grandchildren, Carisa Cavannaugh and Joseph, Fritz, and Elizabeth Carter and great grandchild, Isaac Cavanaugh.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in White Oak Cemetery, southwest of Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Thursday.
