Elizabeth Ann (Buis) Harbord was born on October 20, 1926. She was the youngest of seven children born to Charley Buis and Edna (Hogan) Buis.
Elizabeth was very active at the First Baptist Church where she was a long time Sunday School teacher and occasional Prayer Meeting leader. She moved to St. Joseph, Missouri with her husband Pete Harbord. Elizabeth and her husband spent time in St. Joseph and Bethany for several years. Her husband of 27 years died in 1980.
Elizabeth is survived by one son, Eddie Harbord of Olathe, Kansas, one grandchild, Bruce Harbord and three great-grandchildren, Bridget, Wesley, and Jimmie all of Shawnee, Kansas.
The Covid protocols did not allow for her loved ones to be present. She passed suddenly on December 1st, 2020 at Villa St. Francis Nursing Home in Olathe, Kansas. Mom pretty much endeared herself to all the people she met through her life and was my role model. Those that knew her will miss her so.
Graveside service 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in Miriam Cemetery 931 North 12th Street Bethany, Missouri.
