The city of Bethany held a public hearing last week on a proposal to build a sidewalk along the west side of the 39th Street Extension from Bartlett Street to Bulldog Avenue. The engineering plan above shows the sidewalk connecting to the South Harrison campus. A crosswalk would be marked on Bulldog Avenue near the Early Childhood Development building. The city will be submitting an application to the Missouri Department of Transportation for funds to build the sidewalk under the Safe Routes to School Program.
