Bethany will be losing its fire chief, Jacob Denum, to the Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office.
Denum joined the city as a half-time fire chief five years ago while working as a paramedic for the Noel T. Adams Ambulance District. He was later appointed as building inspector, dividing his time between the fire chief duties and enforcing the city’s building codes.
