The Quality Inn & Suites Hotel, 496 South 39th Street in Bethany, was closed for cleaning on Wednesday after a person who stayed at the hotel tested in mid-July tested positive for Legionnaire’s disease. Testing of water from the pool, spa and potable water system indicated the presence of Legionella bacteria, according to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. DHSS and the Harrison County Health Department will continue working with Quality Inn, which is taking proactive measures to minimize the risk to disease and to ensure the protection of guests and employees.
