Bethany, MO: The South Harrison girls have a chance to add a third state championship to their trophy case after the Lady Bulldogs edged Bowling Green 4-3 in a quarterfinal softball game on Saturday.
South Harrison will play Carrollton in the Class 2 semifinal game at Springfield at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27. The winner will advance to the state championship game at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday to play the winner of Friday’s Chaffee-Linn semifinal.
The Bulldogs’ trip to Springfield came only a few days after the golfers won the state championship in Sedalia. That came 23 years after the South Harrison girls won their first state championship in basketball.
