Lady Bulldogs win district championship against Marceline

District Champions: The South Harrison Lady Bulldogs won the District Championship game against Marceline on Monday, October 16. It was a close game, with South Harrison taking an early lead at the start before Marceline battled back to tie things up in the top of the seventh. The Lady Bulldogs kept at it, though, bringing in the final run necessary to win the game. The Lady Bulldogs will now be heading out to Bowling Green on Saturday, October 21, to play in the Quarterfinals game.

Bethany, MO: The South Harrison softball girls were named district champions last week. The Lady Bulldogs went up against Platte Valley on Monday, October 9, to bring home their last victory of the regular season with a 7 to 1 win. South Harrison was ranked first going into districts and had a bye in the first round of the tournament, progressing straight to the semifinals on Saturday, October 14, where the team faced off against Brookfield. The Lady Bulldogs won the semifinal game 11 to 5, progressing on to the finals where the team faced off against Marceline for the championship and won 9 to 8.
