Bethany, MO: Mary Elizabeth Lewis, 90, Bethany, MO passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at a Bethany, MO hospital.
She was born on February 7, 1936, in Harrison County, Missouri the daughter of James William “Jim” and Josie Ann (Swartz) Buzzard.
On June 18, 1955, she married Richard C. Lewis in Martinsville, MO.
Mary always had three gardens and an abundance of flowers. She loved the outdoors and getting her hands dirty.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Charles “Wayne”, Lawrence Gene “Larry”, and Jim Buzzard; and a son, David Lewis.
Mary is survived by her sons, Roger (Rhonda) Lewis, Bethany, MO and Bill (Othell) Lewis, Spencer, IA; grandchildren, Rodney Lewis and Rebecca (Gerardo) Rocha both of Bethany, MO; great grandchildren, Jacob and Bradley; step-grandchildren, Katie (Clint) St. Sauver, Davenport, IA and Weston Miller, Spencer, IA; and sisters, Lucille McClure and Doris (Joe) Neimann.
Graveside Services and Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 25 in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO.
