Mercer County, MO: Sheriff Trevor Place suffered injuries during a crash in Mercer County on Egret Ave., four miles east of Cainsville, at 7:42 p.m. on Monday, February 9th. The driver, from Bethany, Missouri, was traveling northbound on Egret Ave., a gravel roadway in the area. The driver’s vision was obstructed by the dusty roadway, and he failed to negotiate an upcoming curve in the road. The vehicle, a 2024 Ford F-150 truck, was sent off the roadway, striking a large tree, and continued through a field, coming to a rest on its wheels facing north.
He was released from HCCH and is at home recovering.
The Ford truck was totaled and towed from the scene by Schroff’s Towing. The driver was transported by North MO EMS to Harrison County Community Hospital. The crash was investigated by TPR. J.C. Acree (121), TPR. S.W. Pliley (914), TPR. R. Hernandez (706), Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, and Mercer County.
