Bethany, MO: Patty Jo Moreland, 85, Bethany, Mo. passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026, at her home.
She was born on November 24, 1940, in Cainsville, Mo. the daughter of Alva Warren and Ruth (Eastin) Hamilton.
On July 5, 1958, she married Charles Moreland. He preceded her in death on July 3, 2017.
Patty worked as a registered nurse at Albany Hospital for several years. She enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers for over 60 years from all over the United States. She was an exceptional cook and famous for her Parker House rolls. Patty loved gardening and maintaining her flower beds. She enjoyed time with her grandkids and her pets, Kizzy Jazz, and Pepper.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Roger “Tod”, Leonard, and Doyle Hamilton.
Patty is survived by her children, Steve (Bonnie) Moreland, Mark Moreland, both of Bethany, Mo. and Vicki (Tod) Rodgers, of Midwest City, Okla., and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 1 in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany, Mo. under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, Mo. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, Mo.
