McFall,MO: The rainy weather pushed the Son of the American Revolution’s grave marking for Private Israel B. Christie inside the Liberty Baptist Church in McFall. During the laying of the wreaths the descendants of Private Christie, a veteran from the war of 1812, stood next to the display. On stage was Douglas S. Christie, fourth great grandson; to the right of the wreath was Eric D. Christie, fourth great grandson, and to the left of the wreath their dad Harvey D. Christie, third great grandson of the war veteran. Douglas Christie thanked the crowd in attendance saying he was “very grateful for the opportunity to recognize the war veteran”.
