Bethany, MO: City Administrator Jake Taylor last week presented the council with a work order for a water line project located on Alder Street stretching from 15th to 22nd Street. The project will consist of a budgeted replacement of the water main in the area. The work order, broken into five tasks, had monetary values assigned to each task ranging from $45,000 for a “design phase” to $7,000 for “construction contract administration.” Taylor told the council the total pricing for the project would be hard to determine since one of the pricing quotes was for an “easement exhibit” costing the city $1,000 for each easement.
