Celebrate agriculture during ‘Thank a Farmer’ Week

Harrison County FFA members are pictured on the front steps of the courthouse for the County Commission’s signing of the Thank-A-Farmer Week proclamation. Presiding Commissioner Jack Hodge and commissioner Mike Smith presented the proclamation to Jeff Gibson, representing the FFA chapters and the sponsoring Harrison County Farm Bureau. Students in local grade school have written brief essays thanking farmers that appear on page 7 of this week’s newspaper.
