The Harrison County Fair Association was incorporated in 1916, calling the annual event “The Banner Fair of Northwest Missouri.”
That motto heralded the formation of a fair that later became known as the Northwest Missouri state Fair, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary this Labor Day weekend.
