South Harrison graduate Ted Monachino’s impressive football coaching career took another turn when he signed to become a senior defensive assistant and outside linebacker coach for the Chicago Bears.
Monachino had been coaching on the college level after leaving the NFL Baltimore Ravens. He served as a defensive analyst on the staff of University of Missouri Coach Barry Odom for the past year and had accepted a position as the defensive coach at Kansas State University. He left after three weeks at K-State to take the coaching job on the Bears’ staff.
Ted is the son of Nancy Monachino and the late Ono Monachino, formerly of Bethany.
