Republican-Clipper photo–South Harrison senior Luke Karns signs a letter of intent to play football at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. Karns was a two-way starter as a lineman through most of his high school career. Luke, who stands 6-6, starts as a center for the Bulldog basketball team. He said signing with Central Missouri was an easy decision. “They were the first ones to recruit me,” he said. His high school football coach, Chris Schoning, said he expects his former player to do well in college football. “He is a smart player and quick for his size and will only get stronger” during his training at CMU, Schoning said.
Luke is pictured with his parents, Pete and Stacey Karns; his sister, Neiley, who attends Missouri Western; his grandparents, Nita and Jerry Clark, and his girlfriend Emily Miller.
