Maysville, MO: Roger Eugene Peters, 71, Maysville, MO (formerly of Pattonsburg, MO) passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 at a Maryville, MO hospital.

He was born January 14, 1947 in Weatherby, MO the son of Raymond Toad and Ruby (Boyer) Peters. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Russell and Lorena Boyer and Charlie and Edna Peters; two sister, Cindy Graves and Carol Peters Allen; father-in-law, Jack Cornett and several aunts and uncles.

On November 19, 1986, he married Judy Ann Cornett in Miami, Oklahoma. Judy survives of the home in Maysville, MO where they have lived since 2006. Prior to living in Maysville they lived in Kidder after leaving Pattonsburg after the flood in 1993.

Roger moved to Maysville to be closer to his job at the Rock Quarry where he worked in some fashion for over 30 years. He was set to officially retire from Norris Quarries on April 13, 2018. His retirement celebration was March 31st with his boss. Roger was looking forward to spending more time camping, fishing and spending time with family.

Roger enjoyed many things in life and in his younger years he loved riding horses, breaking and showing horses. During his teenage years, he lived with his Aunt Shirley and Uncle Walter Sweiger who also preceded him in death. While living with them, it was said that he had up to 13 horses until they said enough as they were tired of feeding more horses than cows. He loved going to horse shows with his children and then watching his grandchildren learn to ride when he could no longer do so. Roger loved spending time with all of his family, whether it was camping, fishing, taking a trip or just having a family dinner. He dearly loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors in addition to his wife of 31 years, Judy; mother-in-law, Julia Cornett, Pattonsburg, MO; his children, their spouses and their children: Helen and Chris McDaniel, Lucinda, Joseph and Mathew McDaniel of Cameron, MO, Richard and Kathy Morris, Holly and Scott Mullen, and Kayleece, Charlee, Zaidee and Derreck Mullen, Pattonsburg, MO, Jackie and Karen Morris, Jacob Morris, Marisa Ruggerio and Antoni Ruggerio , Maryland Heights, MO, Jimmy and Eileen Morris, Chase and Justin Nalback and Sadie Rankey, Richmond, Texas, Robert Jackson and Rylie, Kansas City, MO, Melisa Shuck, Kelly and Nate Munro and Luke and Zoey Munro, Raymond Peters and Kody Meseberg all of Kansas City, MO, Rodney Peters, Bethany, MO and friend, Danielle Cooper, Albany, MO; three brothers, Raymond Douglas Peters, Savannah, MO, Rick and Cilinda Peters, Cameron, MO and Rusty Peters, Cameron, MO and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 6 at Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg, MO. Inurnment will be at a later date in Civil Bend Christian Cemetery, Civil Bend, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
