Bethany, MO: Nadine Van Swearingen, 96, Bethany, MO passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at a Cameron, MO nursing home.
She was born November 15, 1921 in Harrison County, Missouri the daughter of James Leonard and Sarah (Jones) Fletchall.
On September 20, 1941, she married Paul Van Swearingen in Grant City, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 26, 2014.
Nadine was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bethany, MO.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Robert Eastin; 5 sisters, Dessie Lloyd, Opal Skelton, Ethyl Shell, Deva Stobbe and Faye Eckerson and 6 brothers, Cordie, Oran, Ansel, Ivan, Dennis and Keith Fletchall.
Survivors include a daughter, Lynda (Howard) Dickey, Turney, MO; son, Keith Van Swearingen, Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Gayla (Roy) Hamilton, Kansas City, MO and Todd Eastin, Kansas City, KS; 2 great-grandchildren, Chris and Kelsey Hamilton, Kansas City, MO and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 9 at the Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
