Overland Park, KS: Mona Lee (Scott) Selby, 96, of Kansas City, MO passed away May 28, 2020 with her family by her side.

     She was born April 5, 1924 to wonderful parents, George Edward and Mary B. (Solomon) Scott in New Hampton, MO. She graduated from New Hampton High School in 1942. Mona married Harold N Selby in 1946.

     She was a strong and independent woman who was proud of the many jobs she held throughout her life but none more than the FBI and the Harrison County Ad-Visor. She loved being a mom and taught her children a great respect for love, loyalty, and a solid work ethic. She was also a loyal and avid fan of the Missouri Tigers.

     Mona is survived by her children, Fred (Ronda) Selby of Montross, VA, Vickie (Greg) Nelson of Kansas City, MO, Ken (Vicky Schmidt) Selby of Williamsburg, VA, and Jan (Brian) Fowler of Kansas City, MO; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren with two more on the way. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Francis McMillan of Glendale, AZ.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; parents, and siblings, Dorland (Lillian) Scott, Maxine (Bill) Weed, Erwin (Dorothy) Scott, Edwin (Helena) Scott, Katie (Everett) Gardner, Verl (Bobby) Scott, Shirley (Bill) White, Margaret Scott and brother-in-law, Don McMillan.

     Mona has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO.

     Memorial Services will be held and announced at a later date with inurnment in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany, MO. Memorials may be made to the Bethany Public Library, Harrison County Historical Society and/or Miriam Cemetery in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
