Princeton, MO:   Michael Gene Flora was born December 11, 1957 in Myrtle Point, Oregon and passed January 4, 2017 in Amarillo, Texas.

He was the third son of Annis (Hamilton) Flora and Larry Flora.  He entered the Navy in December 1974. He was honorably discharged in December of 1979.

He married Tambi McMahon and to this union one daughter, Amber Rose, was born. Mike worked in the Naval Shipyards in Bremerton, Washington as a welder and pipefitter.

Following his divorce he moved to Pleasanton, IA in 1982 with his mother, brother, Shane, and sister, Sonja. He worked at Lamoni Products and K-Bar C before returning to the West Coast for two years. He returned to Iowa in 1984.

His second Marriage was to Lorri Martz. He had two step children, Daine and Kari Willits. He began his career as a truck driver for Tom Doty of Cainsville, MO and later became an owner/operator for Wenger Truck Lines and Land Star-Ranger. Following his divorce he moved to Bethany, MO.

His third marriage was to Stacie Tuggle. During his time in Bethany he worked for Harrison County Road and Bridge, CTL Inc, and I-35 Home Sales.  Mike worked in the elevator at CTL and poured concrete.  With I-35 Home Sales he worked as the foreman for manufactured home installation all over northern Missouri and southern Iowa.

Following his divorce he moved to Princeton, MO where he worked for Tek Builders before resuming his career as an over the road truck driver for Atlantic Carriers.

He was preceded in the death by his parents, Larry Gene Flora and Annis (Hamilton) (Flora) Grooms.  Two uncles, Donald Hamilton and Darrell Hamilton.  One infant sister, Melody Ann Grooms.
He is survived by one daughter, Amber (Flora) Wingerd and husband Jerrad of Hood River, Oregon.  Three grandchildren, Derik Flora-Boyles, Emma and Maddigan Wingerd also of Hood River. Two step children, Daine Willits of Weaver, Iowa and Kari Cavenar of Washington, Missouri.

He is also survived by five brothers, Roscoe (Nonette) Flora of Kapolei, Hawaii, Edward Flora of Kansas City, Anthony Flora of Cainsville, Missouri,  Donald Flora of LaGrande, Oregon, and Shane (Linda) Grooms of Princeton, Missouri.  He is also survived by one sister, Sonja Grooms and her companion Dena Finney of Princeton.

Also surviving are four aunts and one uncle, Jeanne Hamilton of Cainsville, Missouri, Chester and Cecile Judd of Lineville, Iowa, Darlene Hamilton of Leon, Iowa, and Helen Frisbie of Cainsville, Missouri. Four nephews, seven nieces, great nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 13 at Roberson Funeral Home, Princeton, MO.  Inurnment will be at a later date in the Hamilton Cemetery, Pleasanton, Iowa.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.robersonfuneralhome.com.
