MARTINSVILLE,MO: Maxine Allen, 95, of Martinsville, MO passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Harrison County Community Hospital, Bethany, MO.
She was born November 17, 1920 in Allendale, MO the daughter of Carl and Flossie (Skelton) Miller. They preceded her in death.
On October 28, 1939 she married Roy Blaine Allen in Bethany, MO. They were married for 62 years. Maxine enjoyed selling Avon, helping on the farm, making quilts and reading. Blaine preceded her in death on January 20, 2002.
In addition to her parents and husband, Maxine is preceded in death by 2 sons, C.B. and Gary Allen; 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Gary (Anne) Allen, Rian (Jamie) Allen, Jason (Tina) Allen, Gretchen Peters, Barbara (Troy) Kasselman, Keri (John) McCall; 13 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ila Jones and Betty Gabriel; and brother, Luther Miller.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 28 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Martinsville, MO. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO.
