Lyle Martin Harrison, a lifelong resident of Harrison County, passed away December 29, 2019. Lyle was born on November 14, 1946 to Gerald and Mary Ruth (Wilson) Harrison. He attended Mt. Moriah High School and graduated in 1964. He also graduated from World Wide College of Auctioneering in 1972.
Lyle married Hannah Newton on May 15, 1970. Together, they had three children, Lyle (Kit), Tracy and Gerri. Lyle and Hannah felt it was their honor and privilege to also welcome into their home two daughters, Jackie and JoeAnn. Lyle would recount these days, when his home was filled with their five children, as his happiest.
Lyle was a talented craftsman. He enjoyed outdoors, gardening, hunting, and fishing. Lyle loved most of all animals, great and small.
Lyle was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Loren Harrison, his mother, Mary Ruth Cathleen Harrison, and his brother, Gerald Lawrence Harrison.
Survivors include Jackie (Clay) Swan, Agency, JoeAnn Atchley, Bethany, Kit (Carrie) Harrison, King City, Tracy (Jim) Nauman, Union Star and Gerri (Daniel) Madison, Rosendale, also Billy (Becca) Deskins, dearest and trusted friend. Lyle is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the Baptist Church, Mt. Moriah. Burial in the Springer Chapel Cemetery, Gilman City.
