Bethany, MO: Lillian Edith Lunsford, 89, Bethany, MO passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at a Bethany, MO hospital.
She was born on February 27, 1932, in Lamont, Missouri the daughter of Clarence and Edith (French) Clark.
On January 18, 1952, she married LeRoy Lunsford in Joplin, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2019 after 67 years of marriage.
Lillian worked for Wal-Mart in Bethany for 33 years and was a member of the Highway Christian Church in Bethany.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Schroeder.
Lillian is survived by her seven sons, Warren (Shelda) Lunsford, Sewal, IA, Terry Lunsford, Independence, MO, Allan (Dianna) Lunsford, Gallatin, MO, Kent (Sherry) Lunsford, Allerton, IA, Nathan (Tara) Lunsford, Everson, WA, Ed Lunsford, Lee’s Summit, MO and Galen (Lori) Lunsford, Allerton, IA; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Tuesday , January 25 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Memorial Graveside Services will be held at a later date in Allerton Cemetery, Allerton, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Highway Christian Church of Bethany and/or the Bethany Public Library in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
