Larry Gene Jennings, 82, Bethany, MO passed from his earthly life on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at a North Kansas City, Mo. hospital. He was born on September 24, 1936 in Bethany, Missouri the son of Cleo and Kathaleen (Meadows) Jen-nings. Larry graduated from Bethany High School in 1954. He married his high school sweetheart, Latricia Ann Campbell on September 12, 1954. To this union three children were born: Teresa “Terri”, Vicky Jean, and Lonny Todd. Larry was employed with Taylor Plumbing and Heating after gradua-tion and later moved his family to St. Joseph, Mo. to work for Jones Plumb-ing and Heating. He was proud of his union status and retired in 1998. He received his 50-year pin in 2006. He moved his family back to Bethany in 1972 and drove ever day to work in St. Joseph. Larry was proud of his family. He enjoyed the kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He never knew a stranger and if he met one, he’d make them talk to him. He was a good and loving husband to his “Jo” for 64 years, fa-ther to his three kids and grandpa to 19. He was preceded in death by his wife, Latricia; brother, Kenneth Wayne and a sister, Dixie Lea Nible. Larry is survived by his children, Terri (Randy) Gentry, Bethany, Mo., Vicky (Garry Ross) West, Trenton, Mo. and Todd (Alycia) Jennings, Gladstone, Mo.; grandchildren, Corey and Jennie Gentry, Derek Gentry and Hannah Boyd, Chris and Leslie West, Brady and Mercedes West, Kaycee West, Tai Smith, Elise Jennings, and Dayton JoJo Jennings; great grand-children, Kirra, Jacie, and Gage Gen-try, Piper and Paisley West, Hunter Smith, Ellee West, Ty Lisle, Addie Todd, Adrienne Smith and Abbriel Smith; many special Jennings relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were February 2 at Immanuel Baptist Church, Bethany, Mo. under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, Mo. Burial in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany, Mo.
