NEW HAMPTON, MO: Juanita C. Holcomb, 88, New Hampton, MO, (formerly of Coffey, MO) passed away August 30, 2019 at Liberty Hospital.
Juanita was born October 1, 1930 in Altamont, MO, the daughter of Ralph P. and Elizabeth (Wathen) Shaw.
Juanita worked several years as a bank teller, and retired from the Bank of Coffey, Coffey, MO. She was a member of the Coffey Baptist Church where she served as church pianist for several years.
She married Elanson Holcomb on May 29, 1949 in Concordia, MO. He preceded her in death on September 1, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; sister, Nedra Peugh; brother, Charles Shaw; and a nephew Ricky Peugh.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Marta (Bud) Pottorff, New Hampton, MO and Gail (Ed) Henry, Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Alicia Newman and Brian Henry; great-grandchildren, Branden, Quincy, Janessa, Draven, and Grace; nieces and nephews, Nita, Scott, Chad, Michael, Linda, Korby (Angie), and Kerra (Rob); brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kent and Kay Holcomb; and several great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, at Coffey Baptist Church, Coffey, MO. Burial will follow in Coffey Cemetery, Coffey, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO.
