Jonell Blessing, 86, Bethany, MO passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at her home.

     She was born on May 29, 1934 in Harrison County, Missouri the daughter of Joseph G. and Pauline (Eaton) Taylor.

     She was born and raised in the Bethany area. She attended grade school and high school graduating in 1952.

     She married Norman Jr. Blessing on May 29th, 1952. To this union, four children were born, Stephen Blessing, Paula (Steve) York, Marcia (Mike) Willis and Christina SHipers.

     She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and daughter, Christina.

     Norman Jr. survives of the home. Also, her sister, Nina Premer; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; nieces and nephews and a host of friends that will miss her dearly.

     Jonell lived a true life of service. She took care of other people’s needs, always putting everyone else before herself.

     Being a farm wife, she took care of the kids, home, garden, and meals from sun up to suppers after sun down. No one ever left her house hungry or thirsty!!

     She also drove a bus for South Harrison School District for many years. She loved the kids and enjoyed being part of their lives.

     Jonell was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was the song leader there for decades. In recent years, she and Jr. attended First Baptist Church in Bethany.      Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 3, at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Bethany, MO. Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where social distancing and masks are recommended. Memorials may be made to Mt.
