Jennifer Susann Lame, age 49, died at her Lamoni, Iowa home on Wednesday, November 13, 2019. She was born May 28, 1970, in Leon, Iowa.

Jennifer grew up in the Andover and Blythedale, Mo. area. She attended North Harrison School in Eagleville, Mo., graduating in 1988. In the fall she started furthering her education at Southwestern Community College in Creston, Iowa. While there she met Charles Leroy Lame, Jr. They were married in April of 1989, in Davis City, Iowa and then lived in the Afton, Iowa area. They were blessed with two sons, Cody and Dylan. Later the family moved to Ringgold County near Kellerton, Iowa. In 2001, Jennifer and Charles split up and she became a single mom.

Over the years, Jennifer worked as a cook in various cafes, diners, resturants, and nursing homes. The past 10-12 years, she worked for Sodexo at Graceland University.

Jennifer enjoyed collecting dolphins. She also enjoyed time with her grandchildren and doing cross-stitch crafts. Her boys thought she made the best peanut butter pie.

Preceding her in death were all her grandparents and her mother, Beth Lane.

Survivors include her children, Cody and Samantha Lame of Calhoun, Mo. and Dylan and Kim Lame of Lamoni, Iowa; 11 grandchildren, Brayden, Parker, Aaliyah, Jaxson, Avery, Haylee, Ashley, Travis, Ryan, Joylynn, and Memphis; dad, Ivan Lane of Blythedale, Mo.; sister, Carrie and Tim Richardson of Eagleville, Mo.; brother, Shawn and Tammy Lane of Blythedale; five nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were December 14, 2019 at Slade-O’Donnell Funeral Home, Lamoni, Iowa. Burial in Andover Cemetery, Andover Mo.
