Raytown, MO: Jeanne Marie Burris, age 69, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Friday, January 13, 2023, at St. Luke’s East Hospital.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer’s Funeral Home (Floral Hills) in Raytown, MO. Service will be on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., also at Newcomer’s Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at a later date.

Jeanne was born on March 7, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the daughter of Erskine and Marie Cooper. On May 23, 1998, Jeanne married the love of her life, Lonnie Burris.
Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Lonnie Burris of the home, Sisters: Karen Waldram of Grain Valley, MO; Judy Eye (Bruce) of Kimberling City, MO and Vickie Montisano (Mel) of Blue Springs, MO. Brother: David Cooper (Laura) of Lee’s Summit MO. Father-in-law, Clifford Burris, Mother-in-law Wilma Burris of McFall, MO; Sister -in-law: Linda Vanhorn (Mike) of New Hampton, MO; Brother-in-law: Cliff Burris, of Blockton, IA. Jeanne is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews and 20 great nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by Erskine Cooper (Father), Marie Cooper (Mother) and Clark Waldram (Brother-in-law).
Jeanne graduated from Raytown South High School in 1971. She worked in hotel sales and event planning for over 35 years in the Kansas City area. She was a member of KCMPI where she served a term as president. She retired from her long career in 2015. She enjoyed attending Bible studies, spending time with friends and family and traveling with her husband. Jeanne was compassionate and mission minded. She was a born-again believer in Jesus Christ and always looked for opportunities to share Jesus with her friends and family.
