New Hampton, MO: Iris Jean Meyer, 74, New Hampton, MO passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at her home.
She was born September 30, 1946 in Maryville, Missouri the daughter of Delbert Clifford and Margaret Leone (Harford) Dick.
On October 12, 1968, she married Lynn Meyer in Pickering, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 5, 1988.
Iris Jean was actively involved in promoting education through her work as the South Harrison Elementary School office manager, her involvement in Girl Scouts, 4-H and the United Methodist Church Youth Fellowship.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marca Evelyn Cochran.
Survivors include her son, Johnathan (Erin) Meyer, Gladstone, MO; her daughter, Stefanie (Jim) Meyer, Des Moines, IA; grandchildren, Sebastian, Jocelyn and Tynan Meyer; sister, Sharon Kurtz, San Marcos, TX.
AGENDA The family will hold Memorial Graveside Services with Inurnment at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 11 in Foster Cemetery, New Hampton, MO.
Memorial Graveside Services with Inurnment will be held at a later date in Foster Cemetery, New Hampton, MO.
