Glen Dale Holloway, 84, of Bethany formerly of Mt. Moriah left this earth on Wednesday, July 28, 2021.

Dale was born in Mt. Moriah, the son of Glen and Violet (Peugh) Holloway on December 26,1936. Dale has a sister, Dorothy Sharlene Dalton of Independence, Mo., and a brother Robert (Connie) Holloway, Cainsville, Mo. 

Dale married Loretta Kathelene Hartness on October 15, 1960. They have four children: Kathy (Gary) Hall, Dubuque, Iowa., James (Amy) Holloway, Pattonsburg, Mo., Bryan (Jeana) Holloway, Bethany, Mo.; Linda (John) Poter Cashe Rock, Colo.

He had seven grandchildren; Garrett (Johnna) Hall Delissa Hall, Garyn Holloway, Andrew (Paige) Holloway, Emily Holloway, Emily Holloway Darrus and Kennedy Poter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Kate and brother-in- law Everett Dalton.

He attended the Murphy Rural School and graduated from Mt. Moriah High School in 1955.

He joined the Air Force and was stationed at Ranbul, Fla., serving overseas for 28 months.

After returning home, he hauled milk, drove a school bus for Cainsville and Polo. Later starting his own business as a grain hauler and truck driver. He would buy and sell grain for elevators and dairy farmers in Southern Missouri.

He said the hum of the tires was like music to his ears. He had found his passion.

Dale liked to hunt quail, pheasant, turkey, duck and deer. He also trapped when he was younger.

 He made plenty of new friends since moving to Bethany.  He enjoyed his morning trips to McDonalds.

He also enjoyed going to the Senior Center for lunch and playing cards at Pattonsburg Senior Center on Friday nights.

He attended the Assembly of God Church.  Dale loved the music and the wonderful people there. He loved music and playing the guitar.

Dale will be missed by so many family and friends.

 Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday; August 4, 2021, at Bethany Memorial Chapel. Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday August 3, 2021. Burial following Funeral Service at Goshen Cemetery, Princeton, Mo., with Military Honors. Tributes may be left at www.bethanymemorialchapel.com
