Bethany, MO: Garland Ray Hendren, 77, Bethany, MO passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at his home.
He was born on May 18, 1943 in Bethany, Missouri the son of Ira and Verna (Allen) Hendren.
On July 1, 1967, he married Dorothy Cole in Bethany, Missouri. She survives of the home.
Garland served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Prairie Chapel Church in Bethany and had previously served on the Fairview Cemetery Board and Sherman Township Board.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harold and Larry Hendren.
In addition to his wife, Garland is survived by his daughters, Nancy (Jim) Bauch, Stuart, IA and Joyce (Jeff) Ellis, Bethany, MO; five grandchildren, Jenna and Alyson Bauch, Samantha Powers, Sophia Swink, and Sara Kimberly; eight great grandchildren, and sisters, Marilyn Wilkinson, Bethany, MO and Anita (James) Robertson, Lee’s Summit, MO.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 15 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial with Military Rites will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Bethany, MO.
