Floyd was born on March 4, 1941 in Albany, Missouri. He was a graduate of South Harrison High School, Bethany, MO.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.
On July 4, 1987, Floyd married Stella Parks in Cameron, MO.
Survivors: wife, Stella of the home; 2 sons, Michael Goucher, of the home and Dusty (Christy) Goucher, Weatherby, MO; daughter, Kimberly (James) Cochran, King City, MO; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
