Bethany, MO: Delbert “Leon” Hicks, 65, Bethany, MO passed away December 4, 2019 at a Cameron, MO health care facility.
Leon was born on October 15, 1954 in Bethany, MO the son of Delbert Delno and Dorothy May (Jennings) Hicks. They preceded him in death.
Leon graduated from South Harrison High School in Bethany, MO in 1973. He worked in the past for LPN Construction and drove a taxi in Kansas City, MO. He also served as past presidents of the Green Hills Community Action Agency and Missouri Extension Council.
Leon was often seen around Bethany with his beloved Jack Russell “Missee” over the last 17 years which he lost in March 2019.
Leon is survived by his sister, Crystal Hicks of Bethany, MO, many cousins, and lifelong friends, Mike Sims of Bethany, MO and Ernie Hamilton of Houston, TX.
Leon has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. There are no scheduled services. A Celebration of Life will be determined at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.robersonfuneralhome.com
