Bethany, MO: Clara Belle Gentry, 85, Bethany, MO passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020 at her home.
She was born January 23, 1935 in Eagleville, Missouri the daughter of Cecil and Floy Maxine (Gibson) Beeks.
On May 24, 1953, she married Dale Gentry in Martinsville, Missouri. He survives of the home.
Clara Belle was a 1953 graduate of Martinsville High School. She worked mostly as a homemaker and mother and also as secretary for the First Christian Church and at Gumdrop Books in Bethany, MO. She was a member of the Blue Ridge Church and Gideons Women’s Auxillary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Beeks and Freeman and Floy Fitzgearlds; grandson, Clare Guensey; daughter-in-law, Cindy Gentry; sister, Grace Bartlett and brother-in-law, Delmo; sister-in-law, Maureen Beeks and brother-in-law, Royce Adkins.
Survivors in addition to her husband, Dale, of 67 years are son, Glen Gentry, Bethany, MO; daughters, Vicki (Alan) Guernsey, Bethany, MO and Christi (Rick) Plymell, Gilman City, MO; grandchildren, Casey Guernsey, Caleb (Sara) Guernsey, Hannah Guernsey, Payton Gentry, Kaley (Kyle) Cornett, Melissa (Patrick) Miller, Luke (B.J.) Plymell and Gwynne (Brad) Allen; 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Bobbie Beeks, Liberty, MO; sister, Dorothy Adkins, Chillicothe, MO and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 5, at Blue Ridge Church, Blue Ridge, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in the Miriam Cemetery, Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home where social distancing will be observed and masks recommended.
