Alan Jerry Johnson, 74, of Salt Lake, Utah, passed away on April 22, 2015.

Alan was born in Ridgeway Missouri on June 18, 1940. He graduated from Ridgeway High School . He moved from Ridgeway to Denver after graduation and worked as a mechanic for over 20 years. He enjoyed watching Clint Eastwood and Elvis Movies. He raised gray hounds and raced them at the Mile High Puppy Park in Denver. He also raced at Rapid City South Dakota and holds records for a dog named MJ’s Red Genie. Alan was a baseball fan and watched games up until his death. He will be missed by friends and family.

He is survived by his three children, Diana Smith and her husband Galen of Allen, Texas; Mark Johnson and his wife Laura of Las Vegas, and Vickie Moore and her husband Bryan of Las Vegas. His 4 grand-children, Jordan, Natalie, Kaitlyn, and Brendan. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Johnson; his niece Peggy and nephews Mike and Don.

Alan is preceded in death by his parents, Early and Myrtle Johnson; sister, Dorothy Hicks; brothers, Raymond, Homer, and Donald; and his nephew Jerry. Graveside service and burial at Masonic Cemetery in Eagleville at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 3.Visitation will be held 5:00- 7:00 PM on Saturday, May 2 at Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany where friends may call after 3:00 P.M. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Roberson Funeral Home.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Intermountain Medical Center and Care Choice hospice both in Salt Lake City. Their dedication and effort to provide quality care over the last 2 weeks were a heartwarming blessing to the entire family. We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time we spent with him.
