Veterans place wreaths at cemetery: Veterans gather on a foggy morning at Miriam Cemetery to take part in the Wreaths Across America ceremony honoring members of the armed forces. The ceremony took place precisely at 11 a.m. Saturday morning to correspond with other wreath observances across the country. Placing the wreaths were, from left to right: Brenda Clark, Army; Rand Slama, Marines; Don Craig, Navy; Dale Gentry, Air Force; Dick Graner, Coast Guard; Barry Jones, Merchant Marines, and Terry Osmon, POW/MIA. Ann Graner of the Bethany American Legion Auxiliary was the narrator. Others taking part in the ceremony were Kiera Shelby, who sang the Star Spangled Banner and Mike O’Neal, Taps.
