The Bethany Tax Increment Finance District board last Tuesday night approved a motion asking the Bethany City Council and Mayor Joe Johnson to support the 39th Street extension.
The TIF board met in a special meeting at City Hall, the night after the council, with Mayor Joe Johnson casting the tie breaker, voted to prevent street bond money to be used on building new streets.
