Students from a South Harrison class studying Harrison County’s history visited the Cuddy House and the County Museum last Wednesday, May 22. They were accompanied by their teacher, Chris Thomas.
In the right picture, Milaynie May and Riley Purdun looked over the old wood stove in the kitchen of the Cuddy House. Two other students, Jacob Shuck and Cody Middleton, inspected other displays in the museum. The class saw vintage furniture and clothing and a “coffin corner” at the museum, military displays and uniforms. They also stopped by the storage building where they saw a replica of a country school room and a restored buggy
Leslie and Sharon Kelim and Julia Hintz led the tours. The buildings were open on Memorial Day and will be available for tours some Sundays during the summer. Private tours may be arranged at other times by calling 425-6811.
