The school year kicks off next week and South Harrison will begin implementing a new school district policy. Students will be required to turn over cellphones when entering the classroom. They will be held through the duration of the class and will be returned to students at the end of the period.
South Harrison school district
Teacher In-Service is taking place from August 17 to August 22. On August 19, the South Harrison football team will be participating in the Carrollton Jamboree at 7 p.m. On August 20, the Country Club will be hosting the 3rd Annual Bulldog Classic Golf Tournament at 10 a.m. First day of school is August 23. Also on August 23 will be the Varsity Softball Jamboree at South Harrison starting at 5:30 p.m.
North Harrison school district
Band Camp for grades 7 through 12 takes place August 17 and August 18 at 10:30 a.m. A Board of Education meeting will be held on August 17. On August 19, North Harrison will be participating in a Varsity Football Jamboree. Teacher In-Service is taking place from August 19 to August 20. On August 22, there will be a Back to School Night for preschool through 6th grade students at 6 p.m., Orientation will be held for new students and 7th graders at 7 p.m., and
