Sewer plant underway: Contractors have been making progress on building Bethany’s new wastewater treatment plant. The sewer facility is being built on the footprint of the old sewer plant, most of which has been demolished. The $7 million plant is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2018. The project involved pumping out waste from the old lagoon. The Foley Company of Kansas City is the primary contractor.
