The NTA ambulance crew use extrication equipment to free a woman whose car struck the traffic signal on the hospital hill on Thursday morning. The driver, Marcia Wagner, was pinned inside the vehicle for several minutes until a wrecker could pull the vehicle away from the post. Ms. Wagner was taken by ambulance to the Liberty Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Bethany Police Officer Dale Stallworth said the Dodge SUV was westbound on Highway 136 approaching the Highway 69 intersection when it went over the curb and struck the traffic light.
